On May 2, in the company of sponsors, artists, and art lovers, the sculpture garden at Blue Bay Resort was opened. The ambition of the board of the BLUE BAY SCULPTURE GARDEN FOUNDATION is to place at least 40 sculptures by Curaçaoan artists on an area of ​​approximately 2,000 square meters around plantation house Blauw. That will only be accomplished, however, once the renovation of the plantation house has been completed in 2 years. Until that time, the terraces of the manor and the areas on either side of the stairs will be used. One section is a lawn with 2 or 3 sculptures. The other, larger, section is strewn with pebbles and is sheltered by the branches of a shady native tree.
